CANADIAN MEMBERS OF AIPPI COMMITTEES

As is the case of most organizations of this nature, AIPPI operates through its various committees which constitute the heart and soul of the Association. There are "Bureau Advisory Committees", "Working Committees", "Special Committees", and so on. Canadians have always been active in AIPPI committees and thereby significantly contributed to the international operations of the Association.

The present Canadian Members of AIPPI Committees are:

  • Steven B. Garland - Member of Q 160 Special Committee "ICANN Task Force"

  • Michel Sofia - Co-Chairman of Q 170 Special Committee "Substantive Patent Law Treaty"

  • G. Alexander Macklin - Co-Chairman of Q 180 Special Committee "Content and relevance of industrial applicability and/or utility as requirements of patentability"

  • Bruce Morgan - Co-Chairman of Q 184 Special Committee "I.P. Issues of the Treaty for Free Trade Area of the Americas (FTAA)"
