CANADIAN MEMBERS OF HONOUR
The highest distinction that a member may receive from AIPPI is to be named a Member of Honour. Members of Honour are appointed by the Council of Presidents upon the Proposal of the Bureau, after prior consultation with the relevant National or Regional Group (Article 3.5 of the Statutes). Upon such appointment, Members of Honour automatically become members of the Executive Committee and of the Council of Presidents and may attend all meetings of and vote within these bodies of the Association. A Member of Honour who has given exceptional service to the Association may also be appointed President of Honour. Since the inception of AIPPI in 1897, namely during 105 years of existence of the Association, there have been about 100 Members of Honour so appointed, and only 3 Presidents of Honour.
