CANADIAN HOLDERS OF THE AIPPI AWARD OF MERIT


 

In 1997, on the occasion of the Centennial of AIPPI, the Executive Committee approved the creation of the AIPPI Award of Merit to honour members who have contributed in an extraordinary manner to the activities of AIPPI as officers of international committees, organizers of international events, AIPPI representatives, collaborators of scientific undertakings, or as leaders of National or Regional Groups.

The AIPPI Award of Merit is awarded by the Council of Presidents to nominees recommended by the Bureau after prior consultation with the relevant National or Regional Groups. There are presently 58 holders of the AIPPI Award of Merit.

The Canadian holders of the AIPPI Award of Merit and the year it was awarded are as follows:

  • Donald A. Hill (1997)

  • G. Alexander Macklin (1997)

  • Robert E. Mitchell (1997)

  • John Bochnovic (2001)
